Good thing we tied up those loose ends! BDT ("baby" D.T.) decided to surprise us and make his appearance on his actual due date! Wow! The delivery was not as fast as the nurses predicted as BDT was face up and that stalled the labor. Once he flipped around with some positioning help, he was out in less than 5 minutes of pushing.
He was born on April 28 at 4:07pm.
8lbs 6oz and 20-1/4" long, not to mention cute!
Big brother is very excited to have little brother finally come out and join him! We're all home now and doing well.
Just born.

Tying Up Loose Ends
Since tomorrow is Baby 2's due date, we needed to tie up some loose ends today.
The belly cast:
Hasn't been compared extensively with LT's yet, since it was still drying. Look like this belly was more out in front. Perhaps that's why two people asked me if it was twins this weekend?!?!?
And the all important "belly" photo shoot:

Air Guitar
** Note: This is my first attempt with the google video uploader... please excuse any mishap.
Our little Air Guitar master:
Of course, the best one was before I ran in to get the camera! That was complete with going down to the knees on the grass.
Update on #2. Will be here on May 8th at the latest. Yes, that is still 2 weeks from now. :D

Our turn for Grandma Fun!
Grandma arrived just in time! LT was sick last week and now I'm sick and TT, too. Not to mention, I'm exhausted... LT was able to go back to daycare today so we can get some of our "projects" done before the big arrival.
Here's some pictures from last week.
Is that a big baby?
LT and Gma play "dino stories" using the dart board in a very creative manner.
Then we set up one of the best train tracks ever (in my opinion!) in the back.
And there was even a "bubbletown" bath!
Baby bro should arrive in the next two weeks. Hopefully not for a few days as we're still sick. Bleh.

Busy Weekend
Finally we had some warm weather (it seems like winter's been going on forever, but it's probably normal) and it got in the 80's over the weekend! We had the brilliant idea to go to the beach along with a lof of other people.
Waiting to ride!
Helicopters...
Dragons...
Trucks...
Even a rollercoaster!
Then we were off to the beach. We didn't bring our swimsuits thinking that it would be colder at the shore, but it wasn't! I had to buy a bathing suit bottom out of the sale box, TT found some shorts in the back of his car and LT had to make do in his Handy Manny undies. It was so fun!
Sunday we hit up the Home & Garden show and LT even made a fire truck!

Moon Sand!
LT got this moon sand playset for his birthday last year and then he got a very nice and unexpected "big brother" gift from my friends P & M with different colors of moon sand and stamps last week. (BTW, loyal readers P & M, LT is going around saying how nice P & M are and how he really likes you guys. :D Thank you!)
I must admit when we first got the playset, I was skeptical. Probably because we were trying to play inside and blue sand went everywhere, so it was designated an "outdoor toy" and set in the garage all winter. Now that it is nice out, we took it all outside and I have to say ... it is really fun! I think it will get a lot of playtime this summer. It's not exactly like playdough where you form a shape, it works better with molds. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, the 3 year old or the 30 year old.

And this one I just think is funny!

Yard Work!
It's never to early to start mowing! Or is it? Well, he only "helped" for about 2 rows.
This vine had been bothering me for a while, just so overgrown and taking over the fence. I started trying to cut it back and then it started to fall, so we decided to pull it all down...
LT gets in the spirit of things!
TT singlehandedly drags the entire vine out to the front!
LT poses with the vine to give you an idea of how big it really was!
TT had to spend the next couple hours fnishing off the vine and digging up the three enormous roots. I'll see if I can get a picture of the biggest one tomorrow. That was one amazing thing. It looks like it was originally on a trellis and then was just left to grow.
