I hadn't seen Lake Tahoe in 20 years since the big family Tour de California in back 1989. Finally got back to it this weekend, and it was just lovely. We visited some friends who were visting from England and rented a house and it was really nice. Only one tiring moment at lunch Sunday... 2 kids are a lot harder than 1! That was followed by a great time lakeside. We threw in pinecones and rocks, played with sticks, just had fun!

Hike to Frog Lake, only DT & I made it as a certain older boy wasn't feeling well

DT loved making snow balls, everytime we saw snow he would say "ball, ball" and want to run over there

Like 2 birds of a feather

DT's fish face, love it!

Sweet baby who needs a haircut, just can't do it

Traveling Tom's visit

LT's class has a mascot that travels to different kids' houses for a night when the class is behaved. The student fills out a page in Tom's journal and adds pictures before returning him the next day. The lucky student's name is pulled out of a hat. The first time LT's name was pulled, he forgot Tom at after school care and had to return him without bringing him home. This time you'd better believe he didn't forget!

TT went with us to buy Halloween candy, read some stories, just had some fun... here are some of his adventures.

LT's school had it's big Walk-A-Thon fundraiser this weekend. It was fun and exhausting and I think (hope?) we're done with fundraiser for the rest of the school year. LT walked 10 full miles - I'm so proud of him!

Sunday in Monterey

We were trying to decide what we could do today when someone came up with the great idea of going to Monterey. We still have our aquarium memberships, after all! First off, we went for a little walk and managed to see both an otter and a sea lion. Woohoo, score! And here we are ...

How you know your kid is tuckered out? They don't even wake up when you come inside and put them down on the entry bench ... he's still sleeping, maybe he's just going to bed?
