Christmas is Coming
We went for a different look this year. The "yard tree" is a tradition in our neighborhood. Each street has a tree coordinator who orders them in November. It's so pretty to see them down the street!
The tree!
We had an ornament casualty this year. My helper dropped the glass pickle in the kitchen and it shattered. We bought another pickle and I dropped it getting out of the bag. Our friends then gave us a new one for Christmas and so far it is doing okay!
Since our family is probably complete, it was time for new stockings. Instead of ordering some, I decided to make some. TT & I were wondering what I was thinking, but in the end, I think they came out quite nice. LT was nice enough to be sick one day, so I had to stay home from work and was able to finish them up. It turns out they weren't as big as they could have been! I still had trouble fitting everything in. We don't have a mantel, so we're not quite sure where to put them.

how are you able to abate the excitement with all those presents out!? everyday we have this "argument" about whether jt gets to open any presents or not. (we had to give in and let him since we are leaving anyways.)
the house looks great!
Believe it or not, LT hasn't really even asked to open a present??? Maybe the first day we wrapped them, but not since.
I also wrapped his the day he was sick. He wanted me to, so he stayed in his room while I wrapped. :)
Yes, it really looks like you are ready already for the holidays at your house! Only 10 more days...
I imagine your street is pretty at night, expecially if everyone puts lights on the little trees.
Love, gma/momsie
the poor pickle. we/i solved that potential problem by not having a tree this year, but it's not nearly so festive. your stockings look great!
