Yes, it's true, LT is FIVE years old as of yesterday. Instead of having a party, we planned a family trip/pilgramage to the Jelly Belly factory tour, followed by an overnight and then a day at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Sunday was LT's actual birthday and I told him he could invite a few friends over. 4 kids from his class/Y-care could come and they had a blast. We recreated last years super fun party.
I asked LT what his favorite part of the weekend was ... all of it!
Jelly Bellys
Waiting for the dolphin show
Would have been perfect, except for my halo! But you can see LT's "Birthday Boy" shirt
What it's like to get eaten by a lion
Waterslide!
Yeah, birthday!
Everyone loves a BR ice cream cake

Playing Hooky
DT was to have his first day at a new daycare today, but the provider was sick. Such is the peril of having a solo operation! So instead, the two of us stayed home.
We had a busy day in the backyard this morning - I worked from my patio table "office" and DT, well, he had lots to do.
Brief moment of rest
A phone call!
Time to drive the car
Back at the house
And in case you were wondering why he was topless, it was a preventative measure for coloring!

Daddy Portrait Studio
We had a lovely weekend in Santa Barbara visiting our friends. They have a sweet baby, just 10 weeks old! To practice the favorite parent pastime, they have a makeshift portrait studio in their living room... black velvet draped over the TV and then a good camera & flash. TT took a turn trying it out. I think he did pretty good!
More picture from the weekend coming shortly.
